We're hitting the halfway mark of May, which means Summer is right around the corner! Whether it's Capri or Ibiza this summer,  a good suit (or two!) will be your summer staple. Here are some of my favorites of the season... 


HEIDI KLEIN: I'm a massive Heidi Klein fan and am obsessed with this smocked bandeau. Her suits are so intricate and well made, the white stitching on this baby blue is so good The top could totally double for part of a beach club ensemble with a high waisted skirt or shorts.

SOLID & STRIPED: For all your cliff jumping needs, this little number by Solid & Striped is the way to go! I'm not normally keen on one pieces (hello tanlines), but I'm thinking of packing this one for my summer travels. The pink and white combo would look insanely cute with this skirt for an après-beach late lunch.

HAIGHT: The light bronze with a hint of mauve on this Haight suit is what immediately caught my eye... how good would this look on darker skin tones!?! This style of bikini is my favorite- very clean and minimal lines.

MARYSIA: You can spot Marysia scallops from a mile away, and nobody does them better! This gorgeous red on the 'Antibes' bandeau is to die for. I love that red is coming back for swimwear this season, it's a total statement color!

MARA HOFFMAN: I picked up a rainbow Mara bikini for my summer rotation, but this one piece is just as fun! The bright color block totally reminds me of of those rainbow popsicles you'd have as a kid after an afternoon at the pool. The thin criss cross back gives it a little something special.

Some of my favorite gifts to give (and get!) are coffee table books. Not only do they look uber chic on a table or bookshelf with some freshly cut hydrangeas, but they're a fantastic talking point. Your guest will either recognize it or they won't, and in both instances the big bound book will be sure to make an impact. Here are some of my favorites I've given throughout the years for birthdays or Christmas gifts, and some on my wishlist!

BENEFIT GIMME BROW: Up unitl about 2 months ago, I had never touched a brow product, like ever. I bought this on a whim and am hooked! I'm so not on the #browsarelife train, but this tinted gel is just enough to keep them in place.

HOURGLASS AMBIENT BRONZERI have a plethora of bronzers in my collection, but this one by Hourglass is so different from the rest. The tiniest bit goes a long way because of the sheen and rich color. This in combination with the Ambient Strobe powder is A1.

DIOR LIP GLOWI always have a couple of these floating around because I'm addicted to it. I love a good thick balm and this is just that with a touch of a rosy hue.

YSL SHOCKING MASCARA: I never stay too attached to a mascara because I love to try new ones to switch it up. This one by YSL is in current rotation and I love the dense long lashed look it gives. Other notable contenders are the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes and the Chanel Le Volume de Chanel 

TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY BLUSH: Blush is another makeup item that I switch up but I'm currently loving this peachy bronze called 'exposed' by Tarte.

TOM FORD LIQUID BRONZERTold you I liked bronzers. All the bronzers. I mix this in with my moisturizer to use as a base since I don't use foundation!

SOLEIL TAN DE CHANELK, last one. I promise that the combo of liquid + powder + this mousse-y consistency of the Chanel bronzer gives the most natural glow. I forego foundation and powder so this trio never looks cakey. 

NARS Creamy ConcealerThis one is a cult fave with reason! It has a creamy consistency perfect for everything from brightening to undereye and blemishes!


Chia Seed Pudding

3/4 c chia seeds

4 c vanilla almond milk

2 tsp agave (sub: honey, stevia, maple syrup)

1 tsp good vanilla extract *said in the voice of Ina Garten*

I. In a small mason jar, combine all your wet ingredients and shake for 30 seconds 

II. Add in chia seeds, blend for another minute

III. Pour and divide into mason jars

IX. Let the mixture sit in the fridge anywhere between 1 hour - overnight.


3 c rolled oats

1/2 tbs cinnamon

1/4 c chopped walnuts

1/4 c raisins

1/4 c unsweetened coconut flakes

1/4 c agave (sub: honey or maple syrup)

1/4 c brown sugar

3 tbs butter (sub: coconut or olive oil)

1 tbs good vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

I. Combine oats, mix ins, dry ingredients in a large bowl

II. Add in oil and sweetener. Combine thoroughly 

III. Spread on a baking sheet in a thin, even layer 

IX. Bake at 320F for 30-40 mins

Macerated berries 

2 c berries


juice of a lemon 

Mascerating berries is super simple and really isn't a 'recipe' but more of a technique. It is basically extracting the natural flavors and juices of the berries with sugar, producing something between a compote and a jam. The berries turn soft and super flavorful, and the final result can be paired with pretty much anything from ice cream to pound cake.

The one and only Mario Batali has a great video on how to do so.

Once you have all three components: set chia seed pudding, granola/museli, and your macerated berries, all is left to do is assemble! The small 8oz mason jars with screw on lids are perfect to take them on the  go!
